Now That We Know A Movie Is In The Works...

This is (and has been) my idea for a long time now -- And I hope it ends this way...



So, as Ned ages and Chuck stays the same age, we see their love grow over the decades past (reminisce of the montage in the movie Up), but yet they're never able to touch. Their laughter remains the same, their quirky attitudes ever as bright... however, as the years pass, he starts to feel the effects of his age.

Finally, Ned finds himself on his death bed. Emerson and Olive, in their old age, say goodbye to an old friend as the leave Chuck and him alone. Carefully, Chuck gets into bed with Ned, minding not to touch him directly. They share one last witty joke before they start to accept the inevitable. Ned knows he's about to finally depart.

Chuck turns to Ned, "Is there anything you regret not doing?"

Ned smiles as he moves a little closer to her face. He struggles to breathe, but he manages to say, "Not being able to kiss you as often as you deserve."

"You've made me the happiest girl who has ever lived." A tear falls down Chucks face. She then leans forward and says, "But this last kiss is to die for."

Ned chuckles as his eyes begin to close. "I love you." He says as he kisses her lips. And they both die in one another's arms.
