Ned should have gotten with Olive!

It still annoys me that he was too blind to see that she loved him, she was way better than chuck (my opinion), I still love chuck but I like olive better

reply

100% agree

I liked Chuck in season 1 but the whole story line with her dad kind of killed her character for me.

reply

I liked her but Olive was sooo much better

reply

Actually I would like to ammend my intitial answer.

I think Chuck should've gone traveling with her dad and possibly her aunts to give both Ned and Chuck time apart. They were wayyy too obsessed with eachother. I mean more so than Olive's obsession with Ned.

There was a scene in EP 1 or 2 where Olive hopes up on the coffee table while wearing a nightgown.....dayummm. Kristen is one hot midget.

reply

I love Chuck but yeah I think Olive is more perfect for Ned.
I kinda don't like who Ned is when he's around Chuck. And it's like the two are only holding to something they have in the past. It's like a bubble they need to get out.
I want them to move on. Chuck with her new life and Ned with Olive.

I personally think Olive should have ended up with Alfredo the travelling pharmacy salesman. He was the one who opened up her eyes to liking someone other than Ned and she never mentioned rebounding like she did with David Arquette's character. It was clear that he was in love with her in the exact way that she was in love with Ned and Olive realized it far too late. What he says about her in 'Bitter Sweets' says it best

Then I would love you in any way I could. And if we could not touch, then I would draw strength from your beauty. And if I went blind, then I would fill my soul with the sound of your voice and the contents of your thoughts until the last spark of my love for you lit the shabby darkness of my dying mind.
Ned would never have said something like this about Olive even if Chuck hadn't come back into his life.

reply

I wanted Olive and Alfredo together too

reply

Yeah, Ned was kind of obsessed with Chuck. I think some time apart would have helped them realise they didn't have to be together just because of their history.

Olive deserved better. Like Alfredo. But he left and Randy was nowhere near good enough so...yeah. #TeamNolive

Her "Hopelessly devoted to you" number was very touching. It really set her character up. I do wish she ended up with Ned.

I related to her a lot in the first few episodes

reply

Yeah I think everyone related to olive more than chuck

reply

I agree with you Elven. Olive would have been so much better for Ned. As time went on in the show, Chuck was frustrating. Like she couldn't grasp that she was alive and be thankful for that without having some sort of self absorbed crisis that she put herself in!

reply

Yeah it was kinda just annoying, Ned could have lived a happy life with Olive where he could actually touch her!

reply

I wish they would have spent more time on his reactions to Olive after he rescued her from the ghost jockey and he started having sexy dreams about her. That was so funny!

reply

I agree, and he could actually touch her. Also she was way hotter.

PS I have a question.

After touching the people in the morgue, reviving them, why did the Pie Man touch them again, permanently killing them? Except in the cases of extreme mutilation, why didn't he just walk away and let them live? Am I missing something here?
