It's been almost 10 years, but I'm still hoping for season 3... Am I the only hopeful one? Is there any chance they will do a 3rd season or a spin off or something?

Your not alone in missing the show.
But the director and most of the cast have moved on to other projects
So it'd be pretty much impossible to resurrect with the same quality.

Just think about when they brought back Dead like me without Mandy Patakin

I think there is always hope, look at Arrested Development, and 26 years since Twin Peaks went off the air.

Arrested Development hardly turned out well though, and the actors went back to doing their own thing after the latest season, so they haven't been able to film another.

I wish it could continue, but unless it had the same cast, it wouldn't be the same.

You and me both! I just finished the show on DVDs. What a wonderful show: quirky, funny, sweet, and original.

On May 21 the new season of Twin Peaks premiers 26 years after the second and last season ended. This is ironic because at one point in the second season one of the characters mentions something like "see you in 25 years".

Hope springs eternal.
