Well, *this* was different (SPOILERS)

Bizarre little film! I would like to hear some of the Director's motivations in it.

We are left to assume from the hallucinogenic flashbacks in the first few minutes of the film that the antagonist apparently molested a child and was sent to prison where his fellow inmates carved him up like a Jack'o'Lantern. Released early, he begins to take his vengeance on the jury that sentenced him, most of whom are living in a little hick town in Arizona.

I had big hopes for the gore after the first head gets blasted off by a shotgun, but each additional murder and mutilation seems to occur off-screen or we do not see much of it. I guess they shot their budget wad with the first special effect.

I have to admit, I didn't expect the FBI Special Agent to meet the fate he did (flattened head on by the antagonist's truck) that early in the film.

There wasn't much of a plot, really, but some halfway decent special effects, and actually some OK acting for a low-budget film. It was a little too short for my liking and could have spent some more time developing the characters and explaining just what happened with the original crime and what happened to the guy in prison.

Having said all this, I would give it a 5.5/10.
