Underneath the dogging theme, tt uses the same American formula for romance films.
And my word, I absolutely cannot stand those accents. Northern UK is fookin' dreadful.

I'm a Yank and this is a totally Brit movie to me. Can't think of anything like it. And it's only a "romance" because the boy and girl--quite improbably because life is seldom this giving--fall in love at the end. Until then, it's a take-off, quasi-documentary, spoof/parody, soft-core porn, um, "ride." But even among doggers, love conquers all.
And this is by no means "a piece of crap." Can't imagine why more people did not respond more favorably when you consider the absolute dreck that brings in major box office just because of the last CGI.
The problem is it attracts the Bang Bus crowd by trying to be outrageous and then it goes on to tell a story about mismatched romances and boy meets girl all while maneuvering through a landscape of sexual depravity. So it pulls the rug out form under them and pisses them off and doesnt bring in the romantic crowd that just might appreciate it because the material just looks like soft porn to them.
