Review: Ogres have layers

But this movie didn't lol...All one dimensional. It wasn't too bad though. Better than a lot of the crap coming out of Hollywood these days. You might like it, I have a feeling it will be a cult classic B movie. It tis what it tis.....
The acting wasn't as bad as I had predicted, the story was awesome and the Ogre was cool but looked somewhat fake due to the low budget. If you can overlook the CGI and just enjoy the story then it's worth a watch. A lot like "The Village" in fact, it's kind of "The Village" meets Shrek's psycho ugly cousin. If it had a bigger budget to work with this movie would have definitely been a lot better. However, as I said,it is what it is so if you do watch it just keep in mind the shoestring budget these guys had to work with. My overall opinion is, it's a pretty cool story and I enjoyed it. Much better than "10,000 BC " which I had the misfortune of wasting the first half hour on before walking out. In 10,000B.C. the CGI was...well, crappy. Even this low budget SciFi Channel Ogre movie was better in that department. Anyway, that's all I got to say about that.

Heck yes it is better than all, I'll say it again, ALL the movies coming from hollywood. Hollywood brings out the most retarded, expensive movies these days with absolute horrible acting. The Ogre is brilliant, the movie I mean not the hideous creature hahaha. It really is unique and something I haven't seen...ever. The acting and the story made this movie great. If you chose to ignore the CGI of the Ogre then you will enjoy this movie. But the effort is good and that's why I gave this movie a 10. Straight-up. Sci-Fi really delivered this time.
