What a ridiculous ending - SPOILER

So these two travellers have gone to the police to say that a mystical village exists and that theres an ogre, meanwhile their two friends have been ritually slaughtered and all that remains of them is the odd body part. Then they steal the police car and go and help the villagers. What happens? The ogre is killed and disappears and then the curse is lifted and all the villagers disappear. What does that leave? Two teenagers with a stolen police car and shotguns, the remains of two of their friends riddled around the forest and not one iota of evidence to support the claim that there was anyone living in that village or that there was an ogre. If the film would have gone on for 5 more minutes, those two would have been well and truly in the sh it!

Just watched this and cant agree.
Yes they would be in the *beep* for nicking the cop car but why would they get done for their friends murders. The friends were eaten, ripped apart and only partial remains survive and any pathologist or forensic Dr would confirm the bite marks in the remains, prints etc etc were not made by the survivors.

So unless the police think the 2 survivors suddenly went all cannibal then there is not a shred of evidence that would directly link the survivors to their mates death.
Plus they also had a mint condition musket to back up their story.

Come on now. This is a Sci Fi Channel movie. You expect little unresolved details like a stolen police car and dismembered bodies to be a problem?
