Is the Guinness Book still a big deal?

When I was a kid we thought it was a really big deal. But I never really hear anybody talking about it any more. Could be a lot of reasons for that, I suppose. For one, these days when we wonder about the best or biggest whatever we just Gooqle it and get the answer in seconds. Another possibility is that my friends and I just don't give a rat's ass about the silly things that seemed important in the old days.

I liked it when it was less filled (and it is filled, now) with illustrations, had smaller text, contained more records, and was more encyclopedic. Product of its time then; product of its time now. Oh well.
