What a depressing documentary

Documenting the lives of a small group of men in their adult lives having a pissing match over the high score of an arcade game in a time where arcades in themselves are hardly even around anymore. Long as the joy of playing games dimmed from their eyes, as nobody seems to care as much as they do about this. It certainly hasn't made them famous or gotten rich over. Just two guys who let something fickle consume their lives and interfere with their marriage(or at least one of them).

They should have used this path of high scores as a stepping stone to become game developers themselves and continue to make the kind of games they were so passionate on pumping quarters in. At least one of them made some money on selling hot sauce. I guess it isn't all bad.

I agree it is kind of sad to watch. If it were the 80s when arcades were all the hype, not so much. But in 2006 it seemed kind of depressing.

Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.

It'd be different if the two men only focused on the video game playing but clearly they show that they had other interests and actual careers in their lives outside the video game playing.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
