Dude you sound worse than the folks you're attempting to denigrate. Every country has extremes and hardliners in all instances from Criminal Justice to Politics. It's just like that church in Kansas that protests at the funerals of our servicemen over homosexuality. Some take their ideologies to ridiculously wacky levels. That group was no different than any of the multiple Texas death penalty advocacy groups of the 80's and 90's. (DNA evidence pointing to innocence? Na he needs to fry..just cuz)
It's so easy to act "tough on crime" and scream death penalty, or hawk for war, war, war!..when the lives of you and your family are not on the line. Maybe this will allow us to reflect on our system at home. You might want to think twice about that minority facing death row on the news. You might want to wonder if you heard all the facts from that 3 minute 'news' piece, or what his side of the story is like.
It's funny how a few seconds of video, a narrative and dramatic score can tug at people's emotional strings to the point where it brings ignorance out. (dirty?? hmmmm..we know what road that's going on) It's not very wise to underestimate their intelligence. Why westerners continue to fall into that trap is beyond me. LOL that's the line of thinking that makes one believe you can get away with having a cell phone in Kerobokan Prison.
(actually I went back and paused it to read what some of those posters said. That death penalty advocay group did their homework, they had a couple obscure cases listed like John Gabriel)
Anyways I thought the group you are hating on had hella style. It was certainly eerie the way those girls were standing still Reaper style. Plus they had the black get-up with the matching black sunglasses. That was fresh!
