Schapelle's attorney didn't seem to do much to help her client, and even had a smile on her face when Scapelle was freaking out about the possibility of life in prison. At the end when they gave her 20 years in prison, the attorney wouldn't stand or take Schapelle's hand. She seemed to not care at all what happened to her client.

The choice of attorney was probably the biggest mistake the Corbys made. Unfortunately by the time they realized it, the case was too far along to bring in someone new. They were panicked and put in a world they new nothing about and pretty much picked the first "lawyer" that called them back.
Yes, idiot lawyer for sure. I got so mad when he was telling that Bakir guy to take the last day and relax and not give a *beep* for once, and Bakir says basically that he can't relax because what has been done to this poor girl is a grave injustice. I mean what lawyer tells anyone the day before a verdict to relax and have a good time and not give a *beep* It was not HIM on trial for his life, if he were would he then be able to relax, knowing that a totally corrupt government was about to decide his fate?
sharea lawyer who knows there is nothing else you can do , its like taking the SAT , after you take the test , in this case after all the evidence has been submitted , there is nothing left you can do , you need to relax b/c its out of your hands and wait for the results, getting upset or worrying is not going to change the result.
