Why don't they wear sandals?

this is not a reply directed to you but to the post in general.
no1 in turkey wears sandals. not even 0.1 percent, trust me. muslims in north america are so out of sync and ignorant about the religion since their only connection to the religion is their parents and their itsy bitsy pieces of information.. not long ago american muslims thought all the muslims were black and Jesus and Muhammed were competitors. They're both prophets of Allah according to islam by the way. having said all that, i have to add that muslims(not all ofcourse) of afghanistan and pakistan are also ignorant about islam due to long wars, poverty and imperial russia&english. soviet russia banned all religious text, teachings and even names. atheism was the official religion of the state for a really long time. naturally people forgot the most and stuck with what they could which is appearance most of the time.there's really no real education or important literature about islam from these countries and there is no reason for it to be.
in short, open a book and read it for cryin out loud. its 2011, google hamdi yazir, hayrettin karaman and read some literature. u can't call urself muslim by simply copying whatever ur parents/neighbours are doing. "all muslims have to wear sandals" the nerve.. and the sweet ignorance :)
