If there's no gas how come a car driving can be seen in this movie?

At one point in the movie it shows a wide shot of the city and to the very right of the screen on a bridge you can see a car driving. I know its stock footage, but seeing ho the movie is about no more gas one would try to make it so there's not a driving car in the film.

Cars can be converted to run off of a corn-based fuel... maybe it was one of those. =P
This really should be in the goof section rather than have a whole thread dedicated to it.
