Dear God...

Not a fan of this in any way, shape, or form. So they had to actually PAY people to be on the show? Clearly, they were desperate.

I can't believe tie city of Muncie would stoop so low. I'm very disappointed that we allowed this type of show in the town. I'm supposed to go back to Muncie for Christmas, and I'm debating not going at all!

Erik Estrada did Muncie a favor. The country will get to see this city because Erik is very liked and people will watch this show.

Just when you think reality shows can't get any worse, somrthing like this comes along. The reality shows that feature everyday people are bad enough. But the ones that use washed up celebs are even worse. This one has to be the worst yet.Having these actors train to be police officers just for the sake of entertainment is just plain stupid.

Ahhh Shopgal, what will we do without you. A crazy woman keeps calling my house in Muncie, so I told her that I was calling th cops and they would go Wee Man on her a$$... Scared now, I bet.

Erik Estrada, La Toya Jackson, Jack Osbourne, Trish Stratus and Jason Acuña (a.k.a. "Wee Man" on Jackass

I'm not trying to be funny. We don't need to fear the terrorist. These shows will eventually end humanity as we know it.Erik Estrada is a very nice person who should have gotten a break after Chips. The fact that the person who looks 60 btew that's supposed to be LaToya Jackson?? Seriously if the put up pictures in the county of her she'll scare people straight.I think real law enforcement sould be appalled at this and the money would be well spent on equipment for them or put in college funds for the children of officers killed in the line of duty.Rather than this garbage.

That's actually a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. Neither had the Muncie PD, obviously. Had they done so, it might save this town from the likes of LaToya and Wee Man and give kids a chance to follow their dreams. But no, we have "celebrities" running around instead, if you can call them that...

reply

Gee, have you run into any of them? I haven't. They have been here almost two months and they haven't disrupted my life. People in this town fear any kind of change TOO much! Not to say anything of a certain corrupt ex-mayor who wanted money from Spielberg to film Close Encounters of the Third Kind here and asked for money when they wanted to film Hoosiers here. People just need to give it a break. These five people...Estrada, Wee Man, Jack Osbourne, LaToya Jackson, and Trish Stratus have not been a disruption or a pain at all! They have been nothing but nice from what I've heard.

I do worry that since crime seems to happen in bad areas that all people will see of Muncie are the dregs of humanity here. I'm just hoping that people realize that all cities have crime and Muncie does have good areas and people as well.

It seems easy to become a cop in Muncie: they'll take anybody. I'd be concerned if I lived there.

Why the hell else would the celebrities be on the show if they weren't getting paid? Being on a reality show aint quite the same as doing charity work, and do you really think someone's going to commit six weeks or whatever for free that they could be using to make money just for "the publicity"?

reply

you just dont have a sense of fun and humour.
YOU SUCK !!!!!!!

The show is awsome

Looks like someone is living up to their screenname...

they didn't pay people to be on the show. they gave some people money to sign the release forms to be able to show their faces. get your facts straight chief.

What part of "giving people money to sign release forms" does not equal BEING PAID?!?!

Moron.

If I receive money for something, apart from a gift from my great aunt Bertha...it's being paid. They gave these people money in exchange for using their face on TV...so yes. They got paid.

reply

If you're just talking bystanders or other minor folks who were on camera without their faces blurred, I have no idea whether they were paid anything, but I would think it was a given that the Muncie Police Department was very nicely compensated. I'm sure they got a lot of flack for letting celebrities help their law enforcement, but if it means that with the money they got that they're both saving taxpayers money and able to buy lots of fancy new police equipment, which could then in turn be used to help them do their job better and keep the streets safer once the show was over, then probably it was worth it for them and for the City of Muncie.
