only the FRENCH

...could think this makes for logical (romantic) drama.

I've seen SO many movies relating, in some fashion, to this general fundamental NON-understanding of marriage, it's pretty amusing.

Either they feel mocking marriage is nice pastime or they really don't get what marriage entails. Either way, it's always FRENCH, seems it's their niche. Something about their culture perhaps. It's absolutely unmistakable.
They obviously feel marriage is great area to spoof. I have no idea why & I think most here in America watch on puzzled entirely, but can identify their MO in less than 5 minutes tuning in.

Basically to them, infidelity seems to act usually as some humor mechanism (can't even count how many films involve straying husband juggling unsuspecting spouse or partner & again, it's often just comically done as a romp).

Don't get me wrong, I just find it an interesting insight but am no way this "ultra conservative" marriage-sermonizing American. That is NOT why I site this observation (though it's true, I do not find cheating a "funny parody" as most of their films seek to denote), I just think it's rather ridiculous & beyond silly.

I have to say this kept my interest as I laughed through much of it being absurd as it was. I mean, c'mon....affection withdrawal (or whatever he tried to argue with this idiot of a wife)...please just lay it out there that you want to have sex & leave it at that. As depicted here, all of it, just too ridiculous to entertain.

OH and yes, I think everyone KNOWS where a "kiss" can & often leads & also why (at least here in America!) we believe that this is in & of itself is CHEATING. I would be just as upset to know my husband had his tongue in someone's mouth as I would if they had sex. And most believe as I do, it's betrayal any way you cut it & violates our vows & relationship.

Plus finally, I'd take the husband ANY day over that dweeb. How he'd get one girl, much less 2, left me unconvinced entirely (is this definition of hot guy in France? They need to MAN it up, for cryin' out loud. If I'm going to suspend my brain for romantic stupid yarn, give me someone to LOOK at please. Guys appear WAY to Metro-sexual there for me anyhow. Guess I've seen FAR too many French movies as of late....time to switch up countries for now).
