Does anyone else agree?

This sounds really similar to lighter version of the 70's Woody Allen film The Front. In The Front, Woody Allen's character helps out his blacklisted writer friend by pretending that he wrote the scripts. Communism/agism seems to be the biggest difference between these two movies, if the TV promos are any indication.

Hmmm, I never saw that, but I think the main link between them would be the old Cyrano de Bergerac story. It's been done so many times. This seemed like a new twist, but Woody Allen apparently got to it first. Ideas are recycled all the time though, so I don't necessarily think this was a rip-off of that movie or anything. Depends on how many other similarities there are.
