Fiona Xie's Character...

*SPOILERS***

Hmm... it was said in the film that characters possessed by ghosts would not recover and be render emotionless & an empty shell... but in the end, Fiona's character, after the possessed Shawn drop the cigar butt on her, actually sheds a tear, meaning these possessed ppl can be cure after some time after all?

Possibly paving the way for your suggested sequel.

if u think about it, shes in a pretty dispicable situation.

- her lover is now "dead"
- he "died" at her hands
- shes getting raped every day by a serial killer
- shes pregnant (or worse the baby died)
- she is still concious of what is happening to her (evident by tears)
- theres nothing she can do about it even if she recovers. its not like she can call the cops for help (remember rule #1?)

speaking of a real tragedy.....

Sadly, yes ... but the tears show that the victims are still capable of recovering, perhaps real slow, in stages, partial or full recovery will depend on their will power? But after all the trauma, most people would still live in shock even after they recovered... as for Fiona... she might still have some hope if the serial killer gets tired of the cop's body and go to someone else... perhaps the suviving possessed victims can all get together and fight back or something, or people who get possessed can't get re-possssed again(?)... haha, sequel anyone?
