Rod Stewart Stole the Show

Hey, I don't hold any brief for Rod Stewart and have never been a huge fan or anything... but I reckon he stole the show!

Just like Freddie Mercury and Queen stole the show at Live Aid, I thought Rod Stewart got the most out of the audience and was just amazing. I truly loved his performance of "Maggie May" and "I am Sailing".

Other than Rod, I actually enjoyed Fergie and P Diddy. I must admit that I have no idea who Will Young is, but I thought his performance was really engaging and very well choreographed.

What do you guys think?

I totally agree!! Rod bought the house down! If you haven't seen him live. I highly recommend you do because hes just FANTASTIC! And you'll get hooked after the show is over! I saw him the first time in concert on April 10th 2005 at the Nassau Coliseum and ever since then I've been hooked! Ive been collecting merchandise of him since 2005. I have like almost all his albums, concert programs,T-shirts,magazines, and I've seen him in concert 6 times already and have been lucky enough to be up front 3 times! During his performance of Baby Jane he was kicking and tossing soccer balls to the crowd. Some are autographed and Ive been lucky enough to get my own signed soccer ball on May 19th this year when I saw him 3 days after my birthday! So trust me GO AND SEE HIM when he come snear you! YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST!!!

You are right about Will Young but I bet you didn't know that he was supposed to have sung another song - Leave Right Now which is one of his biggest selling singles.

Apparently they were over running and Will's set was cut while he was actually on stage! Natasha Bedingfield's was also cut but she at least had a little bit of warning.

I suspect that you are not from the UK if you don't know who Will Young is. He is the first person to win an "Idol" show which he won in February 2002. He has gone from strength to strength and he is performing at the Last Night of the Proms in Hyde Park, London this very evening (8 September).

He has released three multi-platinum albums and numerous singles, appeared in the Oscar-nominated film Mrs Henderson Presents and on stage in The Vortex in Manchester. He is a very talented young man.

Check out his page on this site.

Thanks for that - I really did like both Will's song and his performance.

Yes, I'm from Australia, so I didn't see your version of "Idol".

How are British Idol contestants treated over there? Our's are having a hard time being taken seriously. Despite some very good record sales, they are never nominated for awards etc. I think the music industry looks down upon them because they took a short cut.

Will Young & Anastacia were the best performers, Anastacia had the best voice and stole the show in my opinion and nelly furtado sang well and was good!
