Leskataus, yes that's true. They were a group of lads put together by a Manchester impressario called Nigel Martin Smith. The difference with Take That though was they wrote most of their own material (well Gary Barlow did), including their only US hit - Back For Good. They reformed towards the end of 2005 after a smash-hit TV program on them "Take That For The Record" - you can watch it in bits on Youtube. They did a tour commencing in April 2006 taking in about 29 Arena and five stadium gigs. The first 29 Arena dates sold out in like under an hour which is why the five stadium concerts needed to be added - these took a further 2 - 3 hours to go. They released an album Beautiful World in November 2006 from which they've had two number one hits - Patience and Shine. The difference this time is that all four guys write the songs together.
They're doing another tour this autumn/winter (which sold out in a couple of hours in February) to which they'll perform to about 500,000 people including the European dates - sadly no Stadium gigs this time as the weather will not permit! In fact - our summer has gone down the drain lately too! So I think they'll probably be around for another year or so. They are apparently doing theme song for a new film you may have heard about "Stardust" - with Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Clare Danes, etc, so we may hear a little more of them via that.
Sorry for the long-winded reply but I'm so glad they're here today (I was too old for boy-bands the first time - but now they are - well credible) Although I have to admit to liking Back For Good the first time round - I just wouldn't admit it!
