Well, I Liked It...

Thumbs up to Jennifer Saunders for trying something different. I thought it was great. Not necessarily laugh-out-loud-every-minute, but I love the dark humor running throughout. Miranda Richardson and the Spanish baby is hilerious. Vivienne's massive ego holds a lot of potential comedy too. The synopsis' for the next episodes sound brilliant. Now that the characters are established I reckon that it'll only get better. :)

I have only seen episodes one and five on youtube, thanks to those who uploaded it. I fell in love with it from the first one. I hope BBC America shows them all. Love Jen and Miranda. Tanya does a good job co-writing,as well. IMO, it's genius and has the potential for longevity, as nothing really compares to this very unique storyline. Bottom line, it will be up to the Brits whether they embrace or reject this great piece of art. One can only hope that they are far more sophisticated than we are in America in accepting a new, risky, provacative series that's an in-your-face dark comedy. I hope it survives.

I loved it too! Basically I think people is expecting "a new Ab Fab" which is just ridiculous. I mean, I LOVE Ab Fab and bought all the episodes and I'd be the first to scream and cry with happiness if Jen decided to do Ab Fab again, but come on! We can't expect Jen to do the same thing forever! I think it's brilliant of her to do something so different, and not just get stuck in the Ab Fab-y sort of comedy. I watched the pilot of Mirrorball and I'm glad it didn't get picked up. Sure, it was entertaining, but it was also practically the same as Absolutely Fabulous, with the same types of characters.
Vivienne Vyle is something completely different and has a darker style of comedy and may therefore not be appreciated by all the Ab Fab fans, but I really loved it!

Hurrah for VV!

R.I.P.: Reese, Angel, Darren, Chad, Kyle, Jake, Mitch, Keith, Ryan, David, Trent, Scott

I was disappointed by the ending. Not saying why, just felt off and wrong. It's only one part, rest assured-I still got a kick out of the bedroom scene (Islands in the stream, lol) and other parts.

I loved the bit where they lypsynch "Islands in the Stream" by Kenny and Dolly. So unusual, witty and creative. Is this really the end? I hope not. This show could catch on and go for years.

"I'm effing Vivienne Vyle. It's me. This skin, this hair, this body, this person. It's all me. So, I will control where I'm going." (Ya gotta love this sh*t.)
