now people have realised its not a laugh a min comedy...

what do you all think.

i take it everyone was expecting hilarious excentric scenarios like abfab.

I love this show.Very unique, unlike what we get here in the states. I refer to it as a dramedy, and no it's not a laugh a minute as many may had thought it would be, but it is genius, IMO.

good! its just really clever and had sme really poignant moments in it. thanks for your opinion- so the states like it then? :)

reply

Actually I was expecting the opposite of "hilarious excentric scenarios...." As advertised on BBC Canada I expected it as a drama with life humour. I think this is a brilliant drama which is cleverly written by Jennifer Saunders and Tanya Byron. I believe this to be a very mature and insightful drama into a life of a woman who is ambitious and malevolent who has many troubles and tribulations in her own life which she is unable to address.

Hindsight. It's like foresight without a future.

Aunty, Very well said. And to the poster who asked if we liked it in the states, the answer is yes, for those I know who have seen it. Can't wait for the second series. Saunders is a procrastinating, nail-biting comedic genius. I love the final results of those minor flaws.

I didn't know what to expect and came across it randomly on Aussie cable. I thought it was good.
I've series linked it too so i should get to see all six eps.

I like it. Gave it an 8. I get 30 minutes of this followed by another 30 of Big Girls' Blouse. Thank [insert favorite deity here] for The Sundance Channel and the alternate choices it offers us here in the States.
