Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but....

Haven't heard of this film until today, just saw the trailer and pretty much remained straight faced all the way through. It doesn't seem funny. The charm of Team America was it took the concept of Thunderbirds and similar shows, but turned it on its head, becoming a complete parody, as well as a political commentary on how the world views America and how America views the world.

Hate to say it, but this looks really poor. Sort of like someone just got together a bunch of Barbies and Action Man dolls and made a film with a script written on the iPhone notebook. Suprised to see big star names on the cast list if I'm perfectly honest.

Again, I'm probably being too harsh, I haven't actually seen it yet, but I'm just basing this on the trailer.

Im an agent of chaos!

Why not reserve judgement until you see the film? What's the point of putting something down before you've given it a proper appraisal?

To be fair - the original poster had the right idea.

This film is nice to look at and a lot of effort has gone into the sets, explosions etc, but it appeared that the makers used up the budget on the stella cast and forgot to include a SINGLE joke!

You'll never be straighter-faced for ninety minutes.

I'd rather watch an Adam Sadler movie.

I'll have to agree...this sucked, lol. Any attempts of humor fell flat. Before I watched it, I read one review that said it was like Team America, but without all the sex and swearing. They should have mentioned without any of the laughs or entertainment either. If this particular puppet show was supposed to be "funny" at all....talk about total fail, lol.

I got a little over half way through before declaring it less entertaining than the news and turning it off. It drags along like a really boring docudrama. A really boring docudrama with puppets. A really boring docudrama with puppets and stale jokes.

I will say the puppets, models and sets were all well done; much better quality than in Team America. And that's about the only good thing I can say about it. In fact, I would bet that a behind-the-scenes documentary about how they made this movie, would in fact be more entertaining than the actual movie itself, lol.

Ok, so I got around to finishing it, so no one can say I didn't give it a chance. More of the same until the last battle scene, which was pretty cool. It had lots of neat puppet-gore shots, lol. Not enough to save this move though. Overall, I smiled a few times, but it never made me actually laugh. I still say it sucks.
