Grizzly Rage vs Grizzly Park
I was looking forward to this until I caught Dave DeCoteau's Grizzly Rage on Sky TV the other night - truely awfull. Has anyone seen both? And is Park a lot better than Rage?
shareAlmost as bad. Grizzly Park is a little better, but at least Grizzly Rage doesn't have a horribly annoying bear theme song sung by a chipmunk... and this one did (shudder.) The biggest difference is that Rage was apparently intended as a "serious" horror piece (and failed miserably), while Park is yet another example of this dumb, tired "haha, look at me, I'm a self-conscious horror parody, ain't I clever!" schtick, all based on bad writing, stupid slapstick and bad performances (Glenn Morshower was far too good to be in this junk, though, and he needs to be in better projects than that...)
Oh, yeah - the bear performed well, too, much better than the non-Glenn Morshower part of the human cast. (And I mean the real bear, not the guy in the bear costume... yes, there is one in this movie.)
Apart from Glenn M. (and the bear) there was one other thing that actually went above the badness / mediocrity of the rest, and that was the conclusion... but I won't spoil it unless someone wants that.

Grizzly Rage was better.
First off, this film has horrible characters. I mean, WHO THE HELL MISTAKES A SKUNK FOR A MONKEY????
Second, the deaths are retarded. The bear nibbles on the guys face? That was so stupid! And then, you have the asian chick getting killed by the wolf. Wtf does that have to do with anything? It's called GRIZZLY Park, not WOLF Park.
I have El Sonoma del Torra de Fiero Syndrome. Be happy you don't. Trust me.
