All you cretins who go along with the official theory are like the little boy who wakes up to find his daddy in his room rogering his wheelchair bound brother while strangling his mother with one hand and sliding a knife into your chest with the other.

Basically the idea of the government (your daddy) doing something wrong is (or let's even say the $$$ men of the world who control the government)so shocking to you that you have little else to do than stick your fingers in your ears, close your eyes and think happy thoughts. Those happy thoughts...that your 'daddy' is a good man and would never do anything to hurt you.

Never once have I ever thought of the government as "my daddy." The sheer volume of evidence to the contrary of a conspiracy is overwhelming. That's why I don't believe in it.

"truthers" simply are finding a way to make sense of a world that is random and violent. If they had to believe for one minute that our society is not as fool-proof as they say their entire faith in our sociatal structure would crumble.

9/11 truth is no more than a defense mechanisim, instead of dealing with the simple fact that a few crazy people with a box cutter can take down a building full of people, you make up elaborate fantasies in order to cope with what 9/11 really represents.

That we at any moment could be subject to any number of catastrophic events that could decimate us both on a personal and a worldwide scale. That our western culture is not somehow immune to the power of a random act of violence.

The conspiracy theories simply reaffirm that the government is all powerfull, and that they always have everything under controll. You truthers may rage out against these invisible injustices, but you do so because it is more comforting to think that the people you elect into power could have the ability to do this , than to think this power can be held by anyone with a plan and a goal.

Your leaders are wingnuts and attention whores, desparately trying to make money and fame off of an event that was one of the worst tragedies in the history of the united states. But much like the people who fork out 2000 for a reading with a television psychic , you eat the turd and don't complain because you are getting something out of this. False hope, and to some people when real hope isn't around false hope is just as good.

Here is a report on Operation Northwoods on the ABC News website, surprisingly. It came out in May, 2001, before 9/11. The first paragraph below is shocking and horrifying. Now those who say that the US government would never carry out terrorist attacks on its own citizens can shut the *beep* up.

In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.

The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba's then new leader, communist Fidel Castro.

America's top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."
