The definition of amateur

The fact that this film has a cinematographer credited is a joke. It was shot to be like home movies, okay, that makes sense, then why do you need a cinematographer? The acting was horrible, that goes without saying. If you were going for realism, then why would you have the actors act so cardboard and rehearsed? Totally the opposite of realistic. They basically sounded as if they were reciting lines from cue cards. The film was also rather repetitive, had no plot, and every single scene was simply pointless and mundane. I laughed out loud during all the murder scenes because they were so ridiculous and fake. Here's a tip, whenever you make a low budget horror, be a little more subtle and less graphic, doing the latter just comes off as cheesy. Use better locations, even on the indoor scenes, make the film VISUALLY interesting. David Lynch can make an entire film that makes absolutely no sense (at first glance), but have some of the most stunning visuals, which captivates his audience. Delaware has about 1 million totally awesome places I can think of off the top of my head that would be great for shooting, you managed to find none of them (were you really filming at a septa R2 station...). The best thing is, they are untapped gems that haven't been filmed before for feature films. Instead it looks like you made this movie in your parents basement, so to speak. This movie was a less than sophomoric effort.

Pretty fake, but the wife is quite sexy.

Apparently, distributors of the film feared footage in the film was actually real. If it was so fake, I don't think they would have thought that.

In any event, this film wasn't supposed to a great example of acting. Some of the stuff on there reminds me of true home movies that people actually make, sans the killing, of course. The fact that the couple go about as matter-of-factly as they do make it disturbing.
