Other than the marginal Rickman plot line, this was awful.

Cliches in this movie:

The noble immigrant who loves wine and Maria Callas, the hot slutty intern with a heart of gold after open heart surgery, the lazy playboy hustler who squanders his life but saves the winery, the principled grumpy winemaker who demands perfection, the snotty French, the droll British, the capitalistic self-promoting American, the humble townsfolk, the plucky bartender and owner, the noble minority farm hand who suffers racism and knows more about wine than his racist white masters, the dumb racist trucker, David versus Goliath, ....

Care to add any?

Nope.

Hey, I'll admit...this was full of a lot of cliche's. Some of them good, some of them annoying. But I enjoyed the movie nonetheless. I guess I've seen worse.

When the hurly-burly's done. When the battle's lost and won.
