SCIENCE FICTION OR FANTASY ENDING?

So is the ending science fiction or fantasy or just sloppy writing or a cop out misleading trick???

The first few episodes show ellen clearly with a pool of blood around her head...this is what really made me keep watching as I knew she was dead or near to it and ofcourse they implied that she had fallen or was pushed which made sense.
The blood indicated a serious fall and was far too much to be a scratch and a few minutes later we see her in her office without a mark, no blood, no hospital or bandage or even much concern from anyone, even her.
It cannot be oil or water as it vanished from later episodes clearly indicating that the crew are either incompetent or con men misleading audiences with fake info. which is a big no no in mysteries as we cannot play if the game is fixed!

I was very disappointed with this as with a few other things (mostly budget) over the last few seasons plus the unwillingness to tie up loose ends.

Check for yourself on episode 1 53:29 in...= ellen dead / seriously hurt with lots of blood. Indicating a car hit or an alley attack or a jump/fall/push. And if it was blood from a miscarriage or complications then i'm sorry but wrong end.

I just watched it. It didn't look like blood to me. All I saw was a puddle, but since they were outside on the street in an alley, that could easily be anything like rain or whatever.
