What was the point of introducing McLaren's kid?
It was only addressed in that one episode... But it didn't really lead anywhere. I thought it would somehow serve Patty's case, to show how he's a deadbeat dad, but nothing ever came of it.

shareIt was just to show the audience and reinforce the character trait of his own asbergers syndrome being reflected in indicating that his son has it as well. Nothing more than that and i didn't expect it to lead anywhere other than inform character.

there really wasn't a point to anything this season if you really think about it, everything lead to nothing
shareIs that honestly what you took from it? It was about nothing?

i'm not sure Patty missed a detail necessarily... she didn't know the questions Ellen was going to ask - i honestly think she had no idea where she was going at that point.
sharethough i enjoyed it i hate to admit that you are 100% correct...the show had been sloppy and pointless for a while and it all seemed to be about money as they show clearly became cheaper and cheaper to the point of no return (green screens). Though saying that a guilty pleasure.

It goes to deliberation in the assault. If McClaren had a medical condition it may reduce his culpability. That is, it wasn't because he was deliberately pernicious.
