The Budget was $2,500 ???

whaaat???!! no way. what? someone explain this to me. What? how? what? I'm sorry but this sounds absurd to me, despite the fact thats it a indie "mumblecore" flick.

it's true. the camera was borrowed from a friend. almost everything was lit with practicals or borrowed lighting equipment. the cast and crew worked for free and the editing equipment was borrowed as well.

reply

Well, that is... incredibly impressive. I mean, wow. I can't imagine making a feature film for anything less than 10-50 thousand, and thats already a micro-budget in and of itself.

Hey do you know what camera this was shot on?

was it the pansonic Hv-200 HD camera?

thanks!

I know $2500 does seem like such a little budget, but I really can't imagine anything that would have cost money in this film. The idea of mumblecore is that it can be done with no money, and just stuff you already have.

what the *beep* did they spend $2500 on!? *beep* catering? they coulda made this film on a zero budget. i mean, seriously, its just the filming of two people.

$2,500?????

Somebody is walking around with $2,450 in their pocket.

It's not a huge accomplishment in low budget filmmaking, it's a chit-chat movie. If you're using borrowed equipment there's not much else to spend money on for a mumblecore movie, especially if you're using digital cameras.
