can anyone please tell me what the ending was supposed to mean?

Its just a "surprise ending" nothing to understand. They put that ending just to thrill the audience and for fun.

Agreed...I won't watch it again...ever.

It also reminded me of the original Children of the Corn movie way too much so I kept comparing the two.
