I disagree also.
The film 'Warlords' is also based on a true story so its not even like it borrowed in any way from another story. I personally actually found it more engaging than 'Red Cliff' due to the awesome performance of Jet Li who is becoming a very good actor should the right role presents itself.

What an insult to both films. They are nothing alike and come from two different periods in Chinese history.

what an ignorant statement. They are two different films, both with their merits. "Warlords" is excellent, especially in it's uncut chinese version (the version that stupid Hollywood has not butchered and altered.) Your statement makes no sense, but my response is: "Avatar" is a poor man's "Taxi Driver."
