3.5?!

I was surprise to see a 3.5 stars qualification and very low box office profits. Maybe it was badly published, sold as one of those freak musical high school teenagers consumed at the time. But it's not a bad musical high school freak, it's actually a very good, bitter comedy. Ben Stiller's character is amazingly funny and sutil. The scene with Anna Kendrik in which he is sleazy with her and she repeats nervous "I don't know" it's a jewel of performance. Critics (very renowed critics) said per example I quote: "badly written and inertly directed, with actors who don’t have a clue what drives their characters" and I won't say who did, but the movie really is all the way around a little un-pretencious masterpiece of writing, direction and acting in which characters are drawed with extreme delicacy.
