Am I the only one who liked the movie?

AM I the only one who liked the movie? I thought it was a great way to kill a Friday night at home. Sure, the story had its flaws, but, so does every other movie.

I took the movie for what it was, a Friday Night Action Flick. Yes, I laughed at the idea of a central fuse and the hatch that was easily moved by a hand truck, and at a few other scenes. It didn't take THAT much away from the story.

Hell, if any part of the movie is unbelievable, it is the set up. Formulate a plan for a record heist, invite the rookie who is really only known well by one person, and give the impression that if the rookie isn't interested in the plan there really isn't any pressure.

Even with THAT huge flaw in the premise, it was still a decent movie for me.

Maybe my problem is I try not to tear apart movies and look for reality in every turn. I watch them to be entertained. I turn off my brain, grab a bowl of popcorn, and relax for a couple of hours. Well, if that's my problem, I don't want it fixed.

I actually feel the same way. Sure, it wasn't the most compelling movie ever, but every once in a while, a simple storyline with action that takes place in real time is a nice change. I'd say it was definitely worth the hour and a half of my life.

I liked it. You've got to take it for what it is: a simple action flick.

i thought it was pretty good for what it was, UNTILL...

the very end (i dont want to spoil it but the coda made no sense....it was mentioned elsewhere so..."reward"??? what?????)

If there's one thing this movie doesn't have is pretensions to greatness. What it does have is a fine cast fleshing out the old story of the so - called perfect heist folding like a deck of cards, due to a series of unforseen circumstances.

I didn't mind it at all.

No, I'm with you; the writing may have its flaws, but it's a well made and reasonably gripping heist-gone-wrong thriller. It's not bad as a popcorn flick.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

i liked it too, good entertainment, interesting plot and, hey, some nice eye candy too (Milo, Skeet, Amaury, Matt, Columbus)

**just be happy**

I liked the movie, it was fun. You can find flaws with any movies.

great movie

Yes a fun, average and mindlessly entertaining movie that was a good way to kill some time. It gets a 5/10 from me.

It’s nice to see Fred Ward still around. The only other movies I’ve seen him in are Tremors 1 & 2....

I enjoyed it, too. It has it's flaws but it's still better than the average garbage that is released these days. Compared to the average action movie/thriller Armored was hyper realistic ;)
Also, Fat Fishburne was entertaining to watch.

Hell, if any part of the movie is unbelievable, it is the set up. Formulate a plan for a record heist, invite the rookie who is really only known well by one person, and give the impression that if the rookie isn't interested in the plan there really isn't any pressure.

As I understood it, he worked there for longer but just got his batch to make it official. So he may have been a rookie formally but knew the team already (also from his time before the military). Next, they always drive together, so IF they are going to do the heist, they need to do it with Ty.
I had more problems with the idea that Ty would use the money from the heist to pay the mortage of his house, how would he explain that? And if he couldn't pay his debt with the money in order to not get caught, what is the money worth then?

Anyway, still an entertaining movie. People just like to complain about things and to polarize (hence voting either 1 or 10). Probably out of lazyness.

I've only just got around to watching this, the bad raps put me off it in the beginning. You're right though, with this type of movie especially - watch it, don't dissect it - I'm watching them to be entertained, not operate.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. The actors, the talks, the plot, the music, a *beep* real life story with the *beep* up ending which happens to each in its own ways. I couldn't believe this movie was rated 5.7 stars...
