Viewed at Sundance
An oustanding documentary! I highly recommend it to everyone. It's a tragic story, and incredibly inspiring. Yes, these children have had to deal with the worst experiences, but they have risen above them and achieved happiness.
acheived happiness? what's your idea of happiness? and how does it change anything?
i hope that was just a poor choice of words.
I thought that it achieved hapiness for them because they put Northern Uganda in a positive light after attending their Nationals, they brought back the first trophy their village has ever seen, and it inspired the other kids in the village to keep dancing and playing music so they can compete next year.
Maybe it hasn't improved their living conditions, but I definitely think that hope is an important contribution to their happiness.
