Those who avoid documentaries are doing themselves a disservice


Documentaries help expand our awareness of what is happening in this world and involve us in the real world.

This is one example of the kind of doc which enriches one's life if one allows it to.

Right you are. A well made documentary does give us more of a sense of humanity because we are seeing honest to goodness people, not fictional characters portrayed by professional actors. I do emphasize "well made" since unfortunately not all docs are well made, and certainly not all are reasonably objective. In my mind, this was well done and was reasonably objective

Documentaries like War Dance give people a chance to learn about other humans we wouldn't get to know otherwise. This may be the first film I've ever seen about Ugandan Africans. An educating introduction.




No two persons ever watch the same movie.
