Stolen scene

Anyone else notice the scene in L: Change the WorLd where the military firebomb a village to eliminate the virus is practically a shot-for-shot rip-off of a similar scene in Outbreak?

Pretty much everything is the same; the "capsule-on-a-parachute" bomb, the cutaways to the people's reactions before they're toasted, the aerial view of both the start and finish of the blast, the ground-level shots of buildings getting levelled...
