How many times do we need to see that the Iraq War was a war for money, and family pride is beyond me. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 hell why didn't we invade Saudi Arabia they had more to with the terror attacks than Iraq.
Yet people still want these jackasses and their conservative beliefs in office.
As someone from outside the US, I ee it as very sad that Americans have been led by the nose into this, and set up to dribble on cue like Pavlov's dogs.
All the emotive cards were played, and people's own responses set up to perpetuate the situation. You can't even question the invasion of Iraq, the road by which we all got there or whether (as it appears) the 9/11 tragedy was in fact shamefully exploited for a pre-existing agenda, without being accused of being a Bush-basher or a US-hater.
It's sad to see so many Americans across the internet foaming at the mouth with misplaced nationalism and rabidly arguing for their own enslavement.
It also seemed to me self-evident what a disaster Bush was for your country, and how he was marching to a very different tune than what would benefit your nation, even putting politically partisan interests aside. (Something that's very hard to do; is the US really as intent on ripping itself in two, yet again, as it appears to be?) I was bewildered why people would vote for him and think he was a viable leader, especially the second time around. Ah well, hindsight always seems so clear, doesn't it?

Perhaps the liberals should have spoken up after the WTC when it mattered?
Anyone can say now that things were done wrong, but the country was fairly united when the war kicked off. Both liberals and conservatives united to attack Iraq as a "haven for terrorists". Most liberals won't remember this because they're either too young, have short memories, or generally are always wagging their fingers looking for someone to blame when their minds change.
Alot of older hard working liberals end up turning conservative once they have been in the world awhile.
I was a liberal until I was about 25, then I evolved.
Whereas conservatives just go on bitter rants about the liberals?
