Anyone who thinks torture is A-ok should.....

It doesn't seem like they understand exactly how bad of an act "torture" is to enforce upon another human being.

Torture is meant to cause great pain, and to maim or disfigure. We are making people feel uncomfortable. Big difference. Anything that leads to broken bones or bleeding is not allowed. If it happens, there is an investigation. Stop watching the Jihad-friendly news, which only tells of how bad America is.

Yes, the US military is going through Bagdad, block by block, destroying everything in their path. And just for kicks! It's so funny, isn't it? These soldiers go all the way to the other side of the world just to knock down homes of peace-loving Iraqis. And that's pretty much all they do. Right?

The people at Gitmo are part of the judicial system, just not the civilian system. Why? Because they're not US citizens, or arrested on US soil. They are either terrorists, or they were engaged in combat on the battlefield.

So if Jeffrey Dahmer was suspected of killing and eating your sister or mother, you wouldn't want some guy to threaten to bend one of this fingers backward if he didn't provide some information? Give me a break, friend.

Geneva conventions are useless now?

In case you didn't know this, the Geneva accords are for uniformed soldiers captured on the battlefied as prisoners of war. During WWII (and maybe before), those not in uniform (including "enemy combatants" and "spies") were not afforded protection under the Geneva accords. And that continues today. Stop with the propaganda.

Maybe if we weren't so melodramatic, and gung ho, the rest of the world wouldn't hate us so.

The rest of the world hated us before this Abu Ghraib stuff came out. You see, the rest of the world LOVES America, when we're giving them stuff and when we're the victims of something. Did you see those in the Middle East cheering when they saw the planes hit the towers? But the HATE us when we fight back against attackers. They just hate it.

And given the "screening situation" (Basically just rounding up whoever) for "terrorists", in this situation, is only increasingly cruel, and inhumane. People talk about the "need for torture" so casually that it's so painfully obvious they have no f-ing clue how evil torture really is.

The military is not "rounding" people up who just happen to be walking by. That is a tremendous waste of money/manpower/resources. I think you're referring to rendition, where a suspect is picked up and handed over to a nation that's been looking for them. And there is no "need for torture," and I haven't heard anyone say that. There is, though, a need for strong interrogation techniques, which have already been proven successful.

You simply don't understand anything, do you? Your rantings are those of a child. Grow the hell up and get a clue.
