I did not expect the judge in the recent Prop 8 to lift the stay, but he did! This is an amazing turn of events. I was positive the judge would bow to conservative religious pressure but he did the RIGHT thing!

The Appelate Court has stayed Vaughn Walker's decision. I hope they reverse his ruling which denigrades the will of the people and assault on religious freedom.

Meaningless and inevitable. It's only temporary.

I hope they reverse his ruling which denigrades the will of the people and assault on religious freedom.

First of all, the "will of the people" is completely irrelevant as pertains to minority rights. Minority rights are not subject to popular vote.

Secondly, how is it an "assault on religious freedom"? Nobody's religious freedom is restricted by gay marriage. It doesn't stop you from practicing your religion. "Religious freedom" does not mean that everybody else has to follow the rules of your religion.
