so glad I'm atheist

After watching this film, it made me so glad that I no longer practice any religion. It's amazing how people will take Bronze Age fables and myths so seriously these days.

I totally agree. I left the church at 18 and never looked back. It's the biggest, legalized cult going.

Wake the *beep* up people...people are gay and that's the way it is. We should all love and accept each other no matter the sexual preference.

I completely agree. I also got out of the Christian threshold when I was a teenager.

Me too! All I kept thinking was if the churches didn't exist there would be no need for this battle. The Focus on the Family part made me want to throw the 57 inch tv out the window. There are some (few) churches that I believe harm no one although I still don't understand the need or want to be part of it. Poor Anna. Her mom basically murdered her in my opinion.

Happy atheist and free thinker

I wasn't going to say there are double standards with you guys and that you aren't only looking at stereotypes, but you are.

reply

Stereotypes? Meh. I've rarely met a Christian, both in my country and especially in the US, no matter how broadminded and forbearing they pretended to be, who didn't make negative comments about gay people almost the moment they thought they were surrounded only by people of their ilk.

Especially in the US, it's become part of many religionists' self-identity, to be vehemently anti-gay, socially disapproving, and politically repressive. God knows why.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I got rid of religion in my life. Im glad I did.
