I think given the success of this movie and the fact that it's closest relative Harold & Kumar has had 3 movies, it would seem to be fair game for a sequel. Not that I'm saying it would be a great idea, just suprised I haven't even heard it suggested. I thought the original was 7/10 and if there was a critically panned sequel I wouldn't bother with it but if a sequel was considered par or better I would watch it. I'm not the biggest fan of stoner movies, but I like the first two Harold & Kumar flicks better than PE, haven't seen the third cos it's not out in my home country (New Zealand) yet.

On the commentary track for this film, Seth Rogen says if they were to ever make a sequel to this, it would be a corssover sequel to Pineapple Express AND Superbad!

how would that even work? both movies share a ton of the same actors

Pineapple Express was a million times better than Superbad. Rather than create a retarded sequel that should just take the same actors and create another badass movie. Sequels are overrated, new movies are way better
