Could the film be shot any darker?
What the hell? I couldn't see one piece of action. It's like it was shot in the dark. Was it just my dvd or is everyone's like this?

I was thinking the same thing.
This is the only time I have ever watched a film and found it too dark to be able to comfortably enjoy it and keep attention to whats going on.
I don't really want to mess with the contrast settings as I dont wish to perminantly mess up my TV picture for just one movie.
Its somewhat of a shame as it seems like this was a very good effort from Seagal.
Not your contrast. We tried to watch it on three different TV's. To dark to watch so we gave up. Maybe they were hiding how bad he looks???
sharePossibly, but he can't hide his flaws when you set the brightness level higher in the darker scenes. He shows up real good when doing this. Nevertheless, it is just as annoying to have to adjust the picture level for just this movie.
