Did anyone else have trouble viewing in the dark

I love Steven Seagal, but I really did NOT like this movie. Actually, the movie I liked. It was the shooting of the movie.

95% of this movie is shot in the dark! Most of the time, I could not tell Steven from anyone else. It was terrible.

I noticed here lately that 50% of movies are shot in the dark. Is this because of money? I know it is easier to run a stunt double in - especially when it is dark.
