Goof/Lil Wayne

Did anyone notice early in the film, that the two thugs Steven kills, actually shows signs of life? The fat one blinks and the Lil Wayne-look-a-like moves his tongue? I guess one could argue that they are not dead but in the prosess of dying, but it looks like they are supposed to look dead. The blink and the move of the tongue are really vague. A bit funny i think.
