Who killed who?

Now wait a minute, hold on, don't nobody move!

Tommy Lee, you out there?

You told us who killed Prejean, but you kinda' breezed by the murders of the three gals, and who in hell killed Lou? Was it Doucet, or that old sugar king, Ned Beatty? Who did what to who in this movie?

Damn! I must have fallen asleep during the second reel and missed some important points.

More than likley this is what happens when you make a movie with too much character and not enough plot.

I have the same questions and I know I was awake because I was having dinner. Please, if there is someone out there who knows WHO KILLED WHO, let us know.
Thanks

Murphy Doucet killed him. You find out that Murphy was looking at the same file for Cheri LeBlanc where he was the arresting officer. That file tied him to the dead girl and Lou was finding that out. It didn't tie it all together in the movie well but the book lays it all out.

And he also killed the other women. He was an old perv, in the book it goes into how they found panties and other stuff like that in his house just before he kidnaps Alafair.

But he killed Cheri because she was gonna try to shake down Baby Feets to get in on his prostitution action. She didn't want to be a working girl anymore, she wanted to run things. He told Murphy and he did his thing. lol

Hmmmmm...Okay, okstacey, I'll defer to your ideas since I have never read the book.

reply

Thanks for explaining all that, Okstacey. It is clearer now. Too bad they don't explain things like in the book.

Who really cares? This movie is so bad, I would have applauded if a UFO had showed up at the end and engulfed the whole mess.

reply

The movie didn't make it very clear.
Murphy Doucet killed pretty much everyone died in the movie. DeWitt, Amber, Cherry, Lou... that's all I can remember for now.
The book is much clearer on this

Hey presto, manifesto.

TLJ tried to plant a knife to convict Doucet..
so he was convinced it was Doucet...

It was not so clear for me...
