the worst lighted movie

Just watched this piece of crap or at least tried to since it is one of the darkest, ugliest looking movies I've ever seen. The whole movie is so dark it's impossible to see anything. Just because it all takes place at night doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to see what's happening. it's one thing for Godzilla to be dark since it helps hide some of the visual effects but there should be no excuse for this movie's incompetence. didn't even recognise Candice Bergen until I heard her voice. Even grade Z drive-in trash from the 70s had better lighting than this.

Yeah, it was really dark. Maybe the entire budget was blown on Robin and Candice, to persuade them to participate in such an awful, sophomoric attempt at a film.

reply

It was literally a dark comedy ...

Not only dark, but as stated quite unattractive as well, when you could see clearly. Coupled with a camera that constantly seemed way too close for anyone's benefit the look of the movie in general didn't do much to help the poor thing.

IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.

I came on here just to check if anyone else had problems with how dark it was, was the lighting person on drugs or something? The people are all in shadows

I just watched on my macbook pro, it was dark but not unrealistic for nighttime. It didn't bother me, but maybe it looks different on others' screens. I saw these threads (didn't read) before I watched the film and I was afraid it would be flat light which it thankfully wasn't.

Have to agree with HollyHop here. Just watched this movie and might I add that it was good, unlike some of the folks on the boards have to say.

Speaking of the 'bad lighting', it's set at night time. Flat lighting would kill the entire feel. If it was a sitcom that'd be another story. They couldn't exactly use floodlights as most of the scenes were on the road, in the car, house, basement, attic. And just because it's listed as a comedy on IMDB (honestly it's more a dramedy), that doesn't mean it has to adhere to these silly norms of flat lighting.

And let's not forget the real reason we watched this one.
Happy Holidays.
