lets see if you agree

Does anyone else think that this movie seems like an independent film. With the production value being a tad bit lack luster and the acting being nothing huge. Overall I would say that this is an amazing idea for a movie but I wish it would have been from a better company.

It's thin around the edges production-wise all right, but the ideas are good and the philosophy interesting. And scary. No way I can tell it's shot in Bulgaria though.

those are not IDEAS, those are RIP-OFFS!!!
see The Matrix.

And the Matrix is a rip-off too. The idea is at least as old as Descartes. Or what about the emerald glasses in the Wizard of Oz?

I think that the film had potential, but that the writing and acting was bad in some places. But at least it had a message. And a message I agreed with. Much of this was obviously directed at the Bush administration---the code orange alert, ruling by fear, and the chips and altered appearance fits in as a nice analogy to a propaganda machine that convinces people to eat sht and like it.

But the writing was way over the top, especially at the end. The people who were living under this illusion would feel confused and angry at first, not liberated and chanting "freedom".

I also thought that the laser guns were pointless. As usual the energy weapons in sci-fi shoot energy that moves slower than a bullet and is far less effective. Direct hits seemed to cause a bit of a scratch.

**spoiler**
Also it came as a suprise to me that valentine was such an important character. If this is the guy essentially calling the shots, then he would not be so accessable.
**end of spoiler***

many other details don't hold up to scrutiny either. But if you watch it knowing that---realizing that it is a low budget movie with an idea too big to pull off in an hour an a half even with a big budget, then you might enjoy it.

If i could punch the face of these imbeciles who say Inspiration = Rip off...

"I wish it would have been from a better company."

see The Matrix, dude. It's the same. Nightmare City 2035 rips off a lot of it.

Muzigbg. Man, are you troubled. You act like a guy who got turned down for a job on this picture. We can't tell where it was shot and we don't care. Maybe the movie had more impact on me as an American. We see rights being drained away every day and this movie speaks to that. We have a tyrant as a president and this movie speaks to that. We have a religious right that wants to uniformize our feelings and this movie speaks to that. Must be a cultural thing, Johnny K.

For people who HAVE seen the The Matrix, why not watch this one too?! That's the problem with most ppl in arguing, they argue that something ripped off something, so they should only watch the original, that's a pretty stupid idea, considering we have enough time to go to forums we also have enough time to watch more movies besides the orginals. Also, just because a movie copies things from other movies does not make the movie worse. This movie had a low budget so at least i'm glad they chose a cool sci-fi plot, not enough movies that are sci0fi these days (way too much comedy and drama, bleh).
