Was adding to my DVD queue when this film popped up as a recommendation and I was glad to see it's also available to view in the instant player. Nice! I'm watching right now.

shareI noticed the boom mic in several shots too, and it's there because Netflix is showing the film opened up from its intended 2.35:1 ratio. If it was matted properly you would not see the boom mic. Instead they've decided to show the film 1.78:1 which is the aspect ratio of a 16x9 tv. I noticed they have done the same thing with SCREAM which is also meant to be 2.35:1. I'm curious how many other films they have messed with in this way.
