any other good Canadian films?

Hey everyone. I love Canada :D I really enjoyed this film and I'm wondering about any other good Canadian films. I've heard Canadian films go unnoticed and are kind of overshadowed by the US. It's sad that a movie like this would probably never get released and be accepted by the public here in the states!

well I'd love to see some more underrated Canadian films! Thanks!

Hello Nazia! Your question above recalled to me a 2006 film called "Snow Cake" which stars Alan Rickman & Sigourney Weaver (who gives an amazing performance as an autistic woman).
The film itself could not be further removed from "Breakfast With Scot" but it is a good Canadian film & I enjoyed it nonetheless!

try some of these:

The Sweet Hereafter
Away From Her
First Born
Good Cop Bon Cop
Shake Hands With The Devil
Passchendaele
A Christmas Story
Cube
The Hanging Garden
Black Christmas (the original from 1974)

For films similar to Breakfast with Scot:
Touch of Pink
Mambo Italiano

This is a start. Hope you like some of them.

Why is it that Canadian films are less accessible to you than American films?

it's not that they are less accessible I suppose, just that they are not really known here. So word of mouth recommendations i get from friends and the like are always for Hollywood. I really enjoy seeing films from other countries, but I never know where to start :D

Hey Nazia- a good way to find cool movies is to watch the trailers for movies at the start of Canadian films- the trailers are usually for other Canadian films. If you want to watch another heartwarming film,, but from Sweden, may I suggest "Patrik 1,5". I will think of more if you'd like? Yes, I love Canadian films and I love being Canadian. :) I also like our television a great deal more than most US shows, even if it's not as widely appreciated. Have you ever seen "Da Vinci's Inquest"?
