This anime is in a very small class of psychological genius anime. The only other one I've seen that was anything like it was Death Note. If you liked Akagi, you'll most definately love Death Note.

but its rewatching value isn't as good as akagi
i watch a couple of akagi episodes everyday before sleeping lol. never get tired of akagi

Great anime, though it's really something that you'll grow into. It's not like with Death Note when it's more or less love at first sight.
